Imagine five "philosophers" sitting around a table with a plate in front of them and one fork in between the plates. During their dinner, some philosophers will be chomping away(using two forks) while the other philosophers think(using no forks). Note: a philosopher needs TWO FORKS to be able to eat. The goals are to not fall in a situation where a philosopher never gets the chance to eat(starvation), and to have as many philosophers eat at the same time.
Think of the possibilities to make this problem work effectively.
